PARTNER
Joseph A. Carofano, Esq. received his Juris Doctor Degree from Pace University School of Law in 1991. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1992. From 1991 to 1997, he was an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County, where he prosecuted and tried felonies, and prepared, presented and argued appellate briefs in the Appellate Division, First Department. From 1997 to 1998, he was employed in Manhattan at Morris, Duffy, Alonso & Fahey as an associate attorney handling the defense of general liability. From 1998 to 2003, he served as the senior trial attorney at a Velella, Velella, Basso & Calandra, handling the defense of general liability, labor law and medical malpractice cases. Virginia Petrie

Virginia Petrie, an associate at our firm, received her Juris Doctor Degree from New York School of Law in 1995. She was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1996. She is also a member of the New York State Bar Association Real Property Law Section. Prior to joining our firm, Ms. Petrie served as an associate at a midtown Manhattan law firm specializing in residential real estate, and at a real estate, corporate, and trusts and estate law firm in White Plains. Earlier, she maintained a solo practice which focused on transactional real estate, commercial leasing and corporate law. In March 2022, she joined our firm. Margie M. Rivera, a senior associate at our firm, received her Juris Doctor Degree from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in 2007. She was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2008.
