Joseph A. Carofano, Esq. received his Juris Doctor degree from Pace University School of Law in 1991. From 1991 to 1997, he served as an assistant district attorney in Bronx County, where he prosecuted and tried felonies. In addition, while in the Appeals Bureau of the Bronx District Attorney's Office, he prepared, presented and argued appellate briefs in the Appellate Division, First Department.

From 1997 to 1998, he was employed as an associate at an insurance defense firm in Manhattan, handling the defense of general liability cases for the New York City Housing Authority.

From 1998 to 2003, he served as a senior trial attorney at a different firm, handling general liability, labor law and medical malpractice cases. He tried numerous cases to favorable conclusion. In addition, he handled real estate closings, criminal law, commercial litigation and trusts and estates matters. He is fluent in Italian.

Cesaria ("Sara") DeMarco, an associate attorney, received her Juris Doctor degree from Pace University School of Law in 2005. She was admitted to the New York State Bar and Connecticut Bar in 2007. She is fluent in Italian.


Jayne L. Brayer, Esq.,
Of Counsel to our firm, has been practicing law for over 15 years and serves clients in the Bronx and Westchester County and the surrounding areas such as Brooklyn, Yonkers and Queens.
Ms. Brayer is a former Bronx County Assistant District Attorney with a special focus on narcotics cases and has been a lecturer in criminal justice and prelaw courses at Mercy College since 1994.

Michael Camporeale, Esq.,
Of Counsel to our firm, received his J.D. degree from Pace University School of Law in 2001, and his B.S. degree from St. John's University. He is licensed to practice law before all courts in New York State. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Federal District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Jenna E. Basilone, a paralegal, graduated from Fordham University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a concentration in Middle Eastern affairs. She represented Fordham at both the prestigious United Nation's Helsinki España Conference and the Levin Institute's Global Crossroads International Video-Conference. She is fluent in Spanish.

Anna Maria Melchionna Carofano, a paralegal, received her bachelor's degree in liberal arts from Rutgers University. She graduated as a Henry Rutgers Scholar Candidate with highest honors in 1990. She is fluent in Italian.
